We will be announcing the full slate of focused small discussion groups soon - we have presentations on everything from recent advocacy work to define affordability in London to community partnerships focused on green housing to common building envelope problems in affordable housing. There is space for several more though, so if you have a problem or issue you would like to discuss with your peers, please submit your ideas to jodybeck@earthlink.net.
There is a lot going on in Phoenix at the time of the conference, and we can only hold rooms until September 5th. The hotel is full so as soon as we have to let go of our room block, they will book the rest of the space. Please be sure to register here, and book your room soon.
We know that attending a conference is an expense to be considered and we are striving to make sure that it is worth your effort and cost to come to Phoenix this year - not only in terms of the information provided by the panel speakers and tours but also in terms of time to relax with your peers and be rejuvenated by the good work everyone is doing.
One way to make attending the conference less costly, as well as reduce our environmental footprint, is to share travel and accommodations. ACD has paid for a travel match site, and you can sign up to share a room or a ride here. It is also a great way to meet new people with similar commitments.
